I made this platter from a textured black clay and couldn't resist rushing out to the garden and picking a fern to impress into the surface. The details of the leaf are picked out by the white glaze.

As with all my work, I've left an area of clay unglazed so you can appreciate the texture and because I love the contrast of the rough clay and smooth glaze.
